Michael Proskiw
Michael previously practiced with a top family law firm in Edmonton where he developed a passion for a career exclusively dedicated to family law.
In family law cases, clients have their emotional and financial well-being at stake. As such, they deserve a skilled and persistent lawyer to protect their interests and guide them through the process of separation and divorce.
Michael earned his law degree from the University of Alberta after receiving the F.R. (Dick) Matthews Excellence Scholarship in Law for the highest GPA among accounting students entering law school.
Michael’s pre-law background is in business, and he obtained Bachelor of Commerce from the Grant MacEwan School of Business with a Major in accounting. Michael’s business and accounting background aids him in understanding the true financial positions of both sides in a family law dispute where property, assets, and support are in issue.
His accounting background also means that he’s able to understand and explain complex corporate, tax and financial arrangements so that his clients have a full picture of what their options are and can make informed decisions when considering settlement proposals.
